ISLAMABAD: Election Commission has convened a meeting of provincial governments‚ ministry of defence and interior on Thursday to discuss security plan for the elections.
The ECP had already ordered provincial and federal governments to provide foolproof security to the contesting candidates and specially the leadership of political parties.
ECP sources said President Asif Ali Zardari has also asked Chief Election Commissioner to play pro-active role in providing foolproof security to candidates and leadership of political parties.
