KARACHI, Pakistan: The Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair on Friday said that people of Pakistan and Iran are closely linked to each other through centuries-old relationship based on common religious beliefs and cultural norms.

In a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost held at Sindh Governor House in Karachi, the governor invited the envoy help strengthen economic relationship between the two neighboring countries.

“Geographical proximity between the two countries continue to expand series of fresh and steady vistas of cooperation, mutually beneficial for the two people,” Zubair said.

The Consul General of Iran in Karachi Ahmad Mohammadi was also present in the meeting.

The Sindh governor also invited the Iranian ambassador to make optimum of tremendous investment opportunities emerging fast in Karachi.

Muhammad Zubair said that Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan and restoration of peace here has revived the potential it holds as a major port city in the region.

The governor said that financiers from Iran can invest in infrastructure development, education, health and other relevant sectors.

Reiterating that the two nations cherished the deep rooted and traditional relationship, he said that emerging global situation demanded this to be further streamlined for wellbeing of the masses belonging to the two Countries.
