ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Advising tourists to adopt precautionary measures before traveling, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) on Tuesday issued special instructions for tourists who were intending to visit different northern areas in winter season.

“Tourists should confirm the road situation and about weather conditions before the start of their journey and they should also check the hotel reservation before the arrival,” the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said.

The managing director PTDC said tourists should have confirmed the air tickets on time if they were traveling by air and they should have respected the culture and tradition of the particular area. Every tourist should have their identity card and passport and tourists should have made sure about their garments as per the weather conditions, he said.

Ghafoor said tourists could get the training about camping and tracking with the professional trainers and to use gas and oil for cooking instead of using wood for fire.

The MD PTDC said tourists should have been aware to drive slowly from coming to Khunjerab, Babusar and also applied less gearing. Every tourists should have disposed off the left overs in the allocated areas instead of spreading garbage everywhere, he added.

More than 15,000 domestic tourists are visiting hilly areas especially Murree, Galiyat and other northern parts of the country on daily basis to enjoy winter season these days.

PTDC information Center work round the clock to facilitate the tourists and provide required information about various famous resorts.

The resorts include Bhurban, New Murree, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Mall Road and Ayubia are packed with tourists.
