RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday.

In a press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that natters of mutual interest and regional security were discussed by the two dignitaries during the meeting.

Later, the COAS along with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz left for Saudi Arabia on a day-long visit.

The visit is being undertaken in context of the prevailing situation among the Gulf States.

Meanwhile, in a separate press release, the ISPR said that Ali Moeen Nawazish met the Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor in Rawalpindi, and appreciated Youth Seminar organized by the ISPR. He also shared his thoughts to save our youth from menace of extremism.

The director general ISPR appreciated his views and asked him to continue his bit for the cause.
