ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Capital Development Authority (CDA) would revamp all the parks of the Federal Capital with international standards and all missing facilities would be provided.
A miniature garden would also be developed in the famous F-9 Park to further add to the beauty of the Capital city.
Talking to APP, Member Environment of CDA Sanaullah Aman said that the authority has chalked out a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate all 180 parks of the city.
He said that during the first phase of the project; mega parks including Lake View Park, Kachnar Park, Rose and Jasmine Garden, Daman-e-Koh and Zoo area will be up-graded.
Uplift of kids play areas, refurbishment of different installation, up-gradation of footpaths and provision of proper lightening system are under the scope of this project, he added.
Member Environment said that special focus has been given to uplift of children parks and in this context 15 children parks in the city would be upgraded with added facilities.
In addition to renovation of parks facilities, different walking tracks in the city would also be up-graded to ensure state-of-the-art recreational and healthy facilities in all parts of the city, he said.
He said that in addition to the developed parks, different facilities like walking tracks and small parks in the green areas will be also uplifted.
The project of miniature garden has also been envisaged and it has been planned to establish Islamabad’s first miniature garden in F-9 Fatima Jinnah Park.
Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal has directed the environment wing to complete codal formalities at the earliest so that the project could be executed at the earliest.
He said that Islamabad is in phase of revamping as CDA’s up-gradation and rehabilitation plan is being successfully carried out in the city and revamping and uplift of this basic facility will add more beauty and aesthetic uplift of Federal Capital.
He directed to explore innovative and modern ideas for further beautification of Islamabad.
