ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Wednesday desired that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) should immediately undertake necessary expansion in its rescue services to cover the entire Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).  

The Prime Minister observed that the CDA rescue services were only operational in the municipal limits of ICT whereas provision of this facility to the population outside the municipal limits was equally important.

He desired that the CDA’s limits with regard to rescue services should be extended to the entire Islamabad Capital Territory with immediate effect, said a press release of PM Office Media Wing.

The Prime Minister also desired that the CDA Chairman should immediately undertake a review of the current physical and human resources available for rescue services in consultation with Director General, Rescue 1122, Punjab Lahore and put up a comprehensive expansion plan to be implemented within the next three months positively.

If required, the entire human resource of rescue services of CDA would undergo a refresher course at Rescue 1122 Academy, Lahore, as a special package.

Similarly, training of any fresh inductees would also be organized through Rescue 1122 Academy, Lahore.
