ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has prepared 12 chapters on Road Safety Syllabus for school and college level and sent to education departments of Federal and provincial governments, governments of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan for inclusion in their curriculum.
An official of NH&MP told Thursday that Motorway Police had recently launched several initiatives for road safety and preparation of syllabus was one of them.
Moreover he said that Motorway Police had started FM Radio service to educate the masses on road safety, discipline and to provide timely road and weather information.
He said that NH&MP had also started SMS Service to get feedback of commuters to whom helps were rendered.
Furthermore, he said that first aid training to patrol officers was being given who were the first responders on accident scene so that they can give emergency first aid to the injured.
Besides, he said that Ambulance Service had been launched and 9 ambulances had been provided to Motorways and Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway and 14 dispensaries were being established at 14 sector offices.
He said that pilot project of e-ticketing on some beats on Motorway and national highways had been started.
