RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The district administration on Tuesday announced to impose 3-day ban on pillion riding from December 3 within the jurisdiction of entire district.

According to the office of District Coordination Officer, the ban has been clamped in view to ensure security of the masses under section 144 CrPC on Chelum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) to be observed on Thursday and Local Bodies Elections to be held on Saturday.

Local holiday announced for Saturday

Meanwhile, the district administration has announced local holiday to be observed on December 5, the day of polling for Local Bodies Elections in Rawalpindi District.

The District Coordination Officer Rawalpindi notified that all the public sector office of provincial government besides educational institutions will remain closed on the polling day.
