ISLAMABAD: Over 50‚000 students will be offered internship in public and private sector organizations all over the country during current fiscal year under the Prime Minister’s Youth Development Programme‚ official sources said.

It is aimed that professional development would equip students with abilities to get job opportunities in the country or abroad.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized degree holders with maximum age limit of 25 years are eligible for the internship.

The upper age limit for less developed areas of Balochistan‚ Southern Punjab‚ Sindh-Rural‚ Azad Jammu & Kashmir‚ Gilgit-Baltistan‚ Federally Administered Tribal Areas‚ Kohistan and Dera Ismail Khan Districts is 26 years.

The performance of internees will be monitored through periodic checks by focal persons to be designated by provinces and host organizations.
