KARACHI: As many as 16 more suspected criminals were arrested in raids carried out by Rangers and police in various parts of Karachi on Monday night.

The paramilitary forces launched the operation on a tip-off regarding the presence of suspected persons in Ancholi area, Rangers sources said.

Moreover, police also arrested 15 persons from different areas.

SSP Ahmed Jamal said police arrested 9 accused, involved in street crime and extortion, from Shah Latif Town. While two accused, involved in the murder of police personnel, were taken into custody from Zaman Town, Korangi.

Boat Basin police claimed to have arrested a dacoit from Hijrat colony and recovered arms, snatched mobile and a motorcycle from his custody.
