11 Egyptian police killed in Sinai Peninsula blast



CAIRO, Egypt: A roadside bomb blast struck an armored vehicle in Egypt’s troubled Sinai Peninsula on Tuesday, killing at least 11 policemen.

The security officials said that the explosive device appeared to have been detonated by remote control. They said that the police vehicle was driving through the village of el-Wefaq near the Egyptian border with the Gaza Strip when the bomb went off.
