Zarb-e-Azb: 15 militants killed, five hideouts destroyed in North Waziristan strikes

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Pakistan Army Aviation Combat helicopters carried out precision strikes in the Tabai area of North Waziristan Agency on Monday that left at least 15 militants killed, the Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) said in a statement.

The ISPR said that 10 explosive laden vehicles and five militant hideouts were also destroyed in the strikes.

The Pakistan military launched the operation Zarb-e-Azb in the North Waziristan tribal region and other parts of the country on June 15 against the militants following failure of peace talks between the government and the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) negotiators.
