COAS briefs PM Nawaz about progress in Zarb-e-Azb

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Wednesday and briefed him about progress so far made in the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb in the North Waziristan tribal region.

During the meeting, the prime minister said that jawans and officers of armed forces are rendering great sacrifices for the cause of the country. He said that there is no parallel to their sacrifices in the recent history.

The prime minister said that these jawans are fighting war for our future. He expressed the confidence that peace and stability is our destiny.

Sharif reiterated resolve of the government to provide all possible resources for look after and rehabilitation of people affected by the operation.
