VIENNA: Iran and the six world powers have resumed talks in Vienna, aimed at drafting a comprehensive deal to resolve the decade-long standoff over Tehran’s nuclear energy program.

The representatives from Iran and five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany are participating in talks which will continue until July 20.

Meanwhile, Iran said that it is ready to take steps to ensure its nuclear program remains peaceful but will not kneel in submission to do a deal with major powers.

In a statement, the Iranian Foreign Minister Muhammad Javad Zarif said that his country is willing to take concrete measures to guarantee that their nuclear program will always remain peaceful.
