VIENNA: Iran and the six world powers will meet again in Vienna on Wednesday for talks, aimed at drafting a comprehensive deal to resolve the decade-long standoff over Tehran’s nuclear energy program.

The new round of talks between the two sides in the Austrian capital of Vienna will continue until at least July 15.

In a statement, the US Secretary of State John Kerry said that July 20 deadline for a deal is fast approaching and Iran has yet to prove that its nuclear ambitions are entirely peaceful.

Kerry urged Iran to seize the opportunity to ease concerns about its nuclear program to end its economic and diplomatic isolation.

On the other hand, the Iranian deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs Abbas Araqchi said on Monday that a final nuclear deal between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany must lead to the removal of all sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic.

Araqchi also described excessive demands by certain countries as the main stumbling block to progress in the ongoing nuclear negotiations between Tehran and the six world powers.
