Monitoring Desk: The Washington Post has confirmed that the U.S. Justice Department has seized more than 30 Web domains linked to Iranian state media

This is a new kind of censorship introduced by the US government to control journalism.

The US officials claim their action is counter what they say is Iranian propaganda at a time of simmering tensions between the two countries.

Top Iranian New domains including English-language Press TV, an Iranian state-owned news channel, Al-Alam TV and Al-Masirah, a Beirut-based News outlet have been seized while more on the list. No response from international Journalism Rights associations has come out till the filing of this report.
