US-led coalition strikes oil refineries in Syria used by IS militants

DAMASCUS, Syria: The US-led coalition has targeted oil refineries during air strikes against the Islamic State (IS) militants in the Syrian eastern province of Deir el-Zour, killing at least 14 militants and five civilians.

The air strikes which struck oil refineries and fields used by the IS militants around the town of Mayadeen in Deir el-Zour were carried by the United States, Saudi and UAE aircrafts.

On the other hand, the British Prime Minister David Cameron addressing the UN General Assembly in New York said that his country should join the US-led air strikes against the ISIL in Iraq.

The British prime minister said that the parliament meeting has been convened to get approval in this regard.
