KARACHI: The Deputy Secretary Majlis-e Wahdat-e Muslimeen (MWM) Allama Deedar Hussain and his bodyguard were shot dead when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a car at University Road in Karachi on Tuesday.

Following the killing of MWM local leader, a three-day mourning has been announced across Sindh.

The initial reports aid that the incident took place near the NED University at University Road in Karachi where the unidentified assailants opened fire on a car.

As a result of firing, Allama Deedar and his guard sustained serious injuries and were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medial treatment.

However, they succumbed to injuries while being given treatment in the hospital.
