QUETTA: Two mild earthquake tremors jolted Quetta and other parts of Balochistan province on Friday, but fortunately no loss of life was reported anywhere.

The epicentre of the first earthquake, measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale with a 10 kilometres depth, was located inside the Central Asian republic of Tajikistan, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The meteorological department said that the epicentre of the second earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale was 58 kilometres southeast of Quetta, adding the depth of this quake was also 10 kilometres.

The two mild quakes caused panic and fear among people.
