TTP responded positively to government's initiative: Maulana Sami

PESHAWAR: A part of the three-member Taliban committee and Jamiat Uleme e Islam – Sami (JUI-S) leader Maulana Samiul Haq said on Monday that negotiations of his committee with the Taliban in North Waziristan have so far been positive and encouraging.

   

Talking to the media persons in Akora Khattak on Monday ‚ Maulana Sami said that his committee members presented the demands of the government committee before the Taliban. He said that the Taliban have also given their demands which will be shared with the government committee tomorrow.

Maulana Sami said that nothing will be kept secret from the nation; however details cannot be made public at this stage to save the dialogue process.

The JUI-S leader said that our desire is to bring an end to bloodshed and revive peace through the dialogue process.
