The year 2024 brought a loud and clear strategy against terrorists of TTP who are officially called Khawajis and the year ended with great successes against terrorists. During the year 2024, security forces and law enforcement agencies conducted 59,775 successful intelligence-based operations of various kinds against terrorists and their facilitators. During the successful operations, 925 terrorists, including Khawarij, were killed while hundreds were arrested. To deal with this scourge of terrorism, more than 169 operations are being conducted by the Pakistan Army, Intelligence, Police, and other law enforcement agencies daily. This year, 73 most wanted terrorists were killed during these operations. Among the terrorists who were killed Fidaur Rehman alias Lal, Zhob Division, Ali Rehman alias Taha Swati, and Abu Yahya are also included. Due to the excellent strategy of state institutions, 14 wanted terrorists to surrender and join the national mainstream. Due to the successful strategy of security forces, 2 suicide bombers were arrested and the country was saved from a major disaster.
The Army Chief has an unequivocal stance on terrorists, Khawarij, and their facilitators. Pakistan has reservations about terrorist operations carried out independently from the soil of Afghanistan. He categorically said that the life and safety of every Pakistani is a priority for us over Afghanistan. This year, a foreign journal also paid tribute to the Army Chief for becoming a strong voice against terrorists and extremists.
Vigorous operations were also carried out against illegal economic activities this year. The state of Pakistan has a clear stance that the mafia involved in illegal activities is a facilitator of terrorists. In view of the clear state policy, this year, strong action was taken against smuggling, electricity theft, extortion, and hoarders. This year, as a result of successful operations against illegal activities, there was a clear reduction in smuggling and stabilization in the market.
At the military-diplomatic front, the Army Chief, Pakistan crossed important milestones this year relations with important countries improved and foreign investment increased. Pakistan emerged as an effective voice in the international community for the oppressed people of Gaza, Lebanon, and Kashmir.
A significant diplomatic success was also achieved in 2024 and Pakistan hosted the important SCO conference. The conference was attended by the Prime Ministers of China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, the Vice President of Iran, and the Foreign Minister of India, among other high-ranking officials. In addition, the heads of several important countries also visited Pakistan this year and signed several agreements.
To address economic challenges, the SIFC has achieved reasonable success, and trade relations with several international countries were strengthened. The measures taken under SIFC have shown clear prospects for improvement in the economy. With the support of SIFC, remittances increased inflation decreased and the stock exchange reached a historic high. A clear reduction in interest rates and the narrative of those who sang the tune of default were refuted.
The National Logistics Cell (NLC) crossed important milestones to promote trade activities in the region and increase trade with important countries. The NLC paved the way for the promotion of trade not only with Central Asian states but also with Russia, Eastern Europe, China, and the United Arab Emirates.
The Army Chief is clear that freedom of expression without rules and regulations is leading to the decline of moral values in all societies. Legislation was also enacted this year to prevent the spread of misleading propaganda, fake news, and misinformation. All the functions of the government and military leadership efforts and achievements are the promise of a bright future for Pakistan. With the best strategy and efforts of the government and military leadership, the year 2025 will be a year of peace and stability.
