PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Pakistani fighter jets pounded hideouts of suspected militants in Miranshah area of the North Waziristan tribal region on Wednesday as part of the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Subsequently, at least 11 suspected militants were killed.

PM directs to release additional Rs1 billion for IDPs

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed the authorities concerned to release Rs1 billion more for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan.

The federal government has released a total of Rs5.8 billion for the affected people of North Waziristan.
