RAWALPINDI: At least 13 militants were killed in fresh air strikes carried out by Pakistan’s military jet fighters in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan tribal region during the ongoing military operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ on Wednesday, the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The ISPR said that five hideouts of the militants were also destroyed in air strikes.

Meanwhile, 12 militants surrendered to security forces in the tribal region.

Number of IDP families reaches 36,793

A total of 441 more families comprising 4,916 individuals have been registered as the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Bannu and its adjacent districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The sources of the FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) said that the total number of IDPs families has now reached to 36,793 families comprising 455,597 individuals.
