ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday dismissed a petition seeking to stop US drone strikes in the country’s tribal areas.
A two-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Tassaduq Jilani was hearing the petition filed against drone attacks on Wednesday.
During hearing‚ the apex court stated that affairs related to drone attacks were not within its jurisdiction and the petition related to security, foreign policy and the country’s defence.
Justice Tasaaduq Jilani remarked that the court’s interference in the issue of drone attacks was not feasible.
