Religious scholar Allama Taqi Hadi Naqvi killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Unknown gunmen riding motorbike opened fire on a vehicle near board office intersection in Nazimabad area of Karachi on Thursday that left religious scholar Allama Taqi Hadi Naqvi dead.

The sources said that the religious scholar was critically injured in the firing incident and later succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to the nearby Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Shia Ulema Council, Allama Sajid Hussain Naqvi, expressed grief over the killing of Allama Taqi Hadi Naqvi.

Three-day mourning announced

Moreover, the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen strongly condemned the violent incident and announced to observe a three-day mourning over killing of the religious scholar.
