QUETTA: In Balochistan‚ mourning day is being observed today against bomb blast in a women university bus and firing in Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta.

A blast occurred inside the bus of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University at Quetta’s Barori road on Saturday that killed 12 students and injured 20 others, police said.

According to police sources, the bomb was planted inside the bus and it exploded when the students were boarding in the bus for their homes. After the explosion the bus caught fire and completely destroyed.

The dead bodies and injured students were shifted to the Bolan Medical Complex and CMH for treatment.

Earlier on Saturday morning, some terrorists fired rockets at the historical Quaid-e-Azam residency in Ziarat in which wooden structure of the building and its fixtures were completely destroyed. However‚ museum as well as historical documents in the residency remained safe in the attack.

The banned outfit Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed the responsibility of the attack at the Quaid-e-Azam residency at Ziarat.

District Police Officer Ziarat told media that six bombs were also recovered from the site of the incident and defused. He said that the attackers also opened fire following the rocket attack as a result a police man outside the residency was martyred.

The terrorists managed to escape from the crime scene.
