The Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Hazrat Omer Zakhilwal visited Peshawar on Wednesday to express heartfelt condolences & solidarity with bereaved family and friends of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Haroon Bilour.

On Tuesday night, a suicide bomber blew himself up at an ANP’s Corner Meeting in Yakatoot area of Peshawar which resulted in the martyrdom of 20 people including ANP’s Candidate from PK-78 Peshawar-XIII Haroon Bilour.

The Afghan ambassador met the ANP leaders including Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and Ameer Haider Khan Hoti at Bilour House in Peshawar and offered condolences on the martyrdom of Haroon Bilour.

Omer Zakhilwal also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls in Peshawar blast and courage to the bereaved family and friends.

Earlier in a twitter message soon after the blast, the Afghan blast wrote “It is with shock & disbelief to hear about assassination of Haroon Bilour in Peshawar tonight. With strongest condemnation of the horrific suicide terrorist attack that also took lives of many others,I offer my deepest condolences to the Bilour family & ANP leadership.May he RIP!”

The former Afghan President Hamid Karzai also took to twitter and wrote “I am saddened to hear of the assassination of Haroon Bilour. His father late Bashir Bilour served the people and embraced martyrdom the same way. I strongly condemn this atrocious act of terrorism & extend my profound condolences to his family, ANP leadership & his colleagues.”
