HUNZA, Pakistan: The Canadian High Commissioner Wendy Gilmour visited Altit Hunza to promote winter sports.

The High Commissioner served as a Referee in an Ice Hockey match played between two girls’ teams.

Some Canadian athletes also played Ice Hockey along with the local players.

The High Commissioner congratulated Altit’s Sports Club and Rising Federation (SCARF) for organizing the Karakoram Winter Lude 2022 Ice Hockey Championship.

While addressing the young players from Hunza and Chitral, Wendy Gilmour said “my colleagues and I had a blast! What an amazing match.”
