Pakistan’s javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record as he hurled the spear to a distance of 92.97 meter in the Final of Paris Olympics 2024 on Thursday and won the Gold Medal, ending the Country’s drought of 32 years.

The Mian Channu-born Arshad Nadeem registered a no-throw on his first attempt but shocked everyone on his second attempt with a monstrous 92.97 meter throw.
India’s reigning champion Neeraj Chopra clinched the silver medal with an 89.45 meter throw on his second attempt.
Grenada’s Anderson Peters won the bronze medal with an 88.54 meter throw.
