Dell XPS 13 Plus

The new XPS 13 Plus comes with a delicate new look that conveys a rather futuristic glance. If you compare it with the last year’s model, you will witness extreme design upgrades. Even the touchpad is also completely changed. It is like one smooth slab of aluminium, and you get haptic feedback.

Hardware and Performance

According to the company, the “plus” in the laptop’s name mainly suggests better performance than its forebears. Below the lid, the XPS 13 plus features the latest the 12th generation of Intel processor, which allows the stoner to configure XPS 13 plus with Core i5-1240P, Core i7-1260P, Core i7-1270P, Core i7-1280P options. The new chips offer crucial enactment upgrades over their 11th gen mates.
As the company contends, the XPS 13 Plus now offers up to 55% better airflow without increased disturbance. But it still needs testing. These upgraded processors also bring support for LPDDR5 RAM  which is expected to be much faster than the previous one.
When it comes to port options, you get 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, and USB Type-C to Type-A adapter that ships in the box, in case you need to plug in a wired peripheral. However, unlike the standard XPS 13, you won’t find a 3.5mm headphone jack or a MicroSD card reader.
Moreover, we do get an upgraded audio setup with quad speakers.

Keyboard and Touchpad

XPS 13 Plus comes with a unique keyboard and touchpad area as compared to its ancestors. One peek at the keyboard and you will think there is no touchpad, at all. But it’s still there, technically, though it follows the underlying mechanism of haptic feedback now. Similar to the MacBook Pro and Surface Laptop studio, the Laptop uses actuated motors to stimulate the feeling of the touch.
The users get an additional feature of a seamless glass ForcePad which provides a thinner touchpad with zooming, scrolling, and press-to-click facilities anywhere on the surface of the keyboard. It also allows the user to get more out of it.
Dell has transferred the top row of the function key with a capacitive touch bar that is backlit. According to corporate sponsors, the removal of the function keys helps to offer more space for improved cooling.
