PESHAWAR, Pakistan: As many as six million families of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive free healthcare services through the Sehat Insaf Card under the Sehat Sahulat Programme launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday.

Under the programme, every family of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province having the Sehat Insaf Card will be able to get free medical treatment worth Rs one million at government and private hospitals.

Prior to it, 40 percent population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been benefitting from the Sehat Insaf Card.

However, now in view of the wide public appreciation of the Sehat Sahulat Programme, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to widen its scope so that every family benefits from the free health facility.

Sehat Insaf Card - As many as six million families of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive free healthcare services through the Sehat Insaf Card under the Sehat Sahulat Programme being launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday. Under the programme, every family of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province having the Sehat Insaf Card will be able to get free medical treatment worth Rs one million at government and private hospitals. Prior to it, 40 percent population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been benefitting from the Sehat Insaf Card. However, now in view of the wide public appreciation of the Sehat Sahulat Programme, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed to widen its scope so that every family benefits from the free health facility. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a significant amount of Rs 18 billion has been allocated for the programme. More than 200 hospitals are on Panel of Sehat Sahulat Program and more will be added. In a statement, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan said that the provincial government will provide free healthcare services to every citizen. Mahmood Khan said that no special card or registration will be required & the people can avail health benefits via their CNIC only. “We are happy to lead Pakistan in the process of becoming a reflection of Riyasat e Madina,” he said. The Chief Minister said that six million families of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be covered by the Sehat Insaf Card for health insurance of Rs one million. “Pakistan is prospering under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The project is a role model for the Country & we extend our brotherly assistance to other provinces as well,” Mahmood Khan said.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a significant amount of Rs 18 billion has been allocated for the programme.

The health insurance worth Rs one million per family per year will be given to the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa population (60 Lakh families) through their CNICs in the phase-wise till January 2021.

The permanent residents of the province will be able to avail free health facilities at over 250 hospitals across the Country both in the public and private sectors.

In a statement, the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan said that the provincial government will provide free healthcare services to every citizen.

Mahmood Khan said that no special card or registration will be required & the people can avail health benefits via their CNIC only.

“We are happy to lead Pakistan in the process of becoming a reflection of Riyasat e Madina,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that six million families of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be covered by the Sehat Insaf Card for health insurance of Rs one million.

The following are free health facilities under the Sehat Sahulat Programme;

  • General Medicine
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Gynae and obstetrics
  • Paediatrics
  • Accident and Emergency (All the medical/surgical emergency care which can’t be provided in secondary care hospitals)
  • Cardiovascular problems
  • Complications of Diabetes
  • Management of all types of Cancers
  • Management of Genito-urinary diseases including Dialysis and Transplant
  • Management of Neurosurgical diseases

The additional benefits for the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa;

  • Rs 1,000 as maternity allowance
  • Rs 2,000 as transportation charges
  • Rs 10,000 as funeral compensation
