It was further informed that the contract for the project was awarded in September 2020; the contractor slowed down the work due to unprecedented price escalation in construction material i.e. steel and cement etc.

Now the contract has been assigned to the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) without change in cost with completion period of four months.

These squads comprise of two upper sub-ordinate, six jawans/officials and two lady constables under the personal supervision of Additional SP Operations and DSP/Rescue-15 Islamabad.

The patrolling system within ICT has been revamped and SHO’s of all the Police Stations within ICT have been strictly directed to utilize their mobiles as well as staff from Rescue 15 to curb the menace of beggary.
