LAHORE, Pakistan: The University of the Punjab on Thursday (September 7) announced the results of BA and BSc annual examinations 2017, according to which, passing percentage remained 44 percent.
The University announced the results of BA/BSC (Composite), BA/BSC Part-I and BA/BSC Part-II which is available at http://www.pu.edu.pk/.
Students may check their results by entering their respective roll numbers in the specific box on the Punjab University website.
The Punjab University had established 843 Examination Centres at which 229,000 Students comprising both males and females appeared for exams of BA/BSc 2017 Part-I (Third Year) and BA/BSc 2017 Part-II (Fourth Year).
Meanwhile, a prize distribution ceremony was held at 11:30 am today at Razi Hall, Punjab University New Campus in Lahore in honour of top position holders.
The Vice Chancellor Punjab University Professor Dr Zaffar Muneer Nasar participated as the Chief Guest.
Talking to media in Lahore on Wednesday, the Controller Examination Punjab University Professor Dr Shahid Munir told that in a bid to eradicate ‘booti culture’, 13 special surveillance teams had been constituted which conducted surprise visits to all Examination Centres regularly for 45 days.
300,000 laptops distributed so far among students
Meanwhile official sources said that 300,000 laptops have so far been distributed among students during 2014-2017 under Prime Minister Youth Programme.
“The scheme aims to provide basis for youth training and development as well as experimental learning through this programme,” official sources said.
