Pakistan will resume its first innings of the first Test match against England at Manchester on Thursday with Babar Azam and Shan Masood in the crease (PTV Sports).
The score was 139 for 3 when bad light caused the abandonment of the first day’s play on Wednesday evening in England.

In the rain-interrupted first day’s play, just 49 overs could be bowled. However, according to the former legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram, who is also in England for commentary assignment, though there is overcast in Manchester but any interruption by rain on Thursday is not very likely.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, Pakistan decided to bat first with only five specialist batsmen after winning the toss.
The 36-run opening partnership between Shan Masood and Abid Ali ended when the latter was bowled by Jofra Archer on 16.

The Captain Azhar Ali also returned early on 0 when fell prey to Chris Woakes.
Later Shan Masood and Babar Azam established a 96-run partnership that remained intact till the end of the play.
Babar Azam continued his brilliant form with bat and struck his 13th half century in Test Cricket. He was on 69 runs while Shan was on 46 when bails were removed.
This is the three-match Test series between Pakistan and England as part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The second and third test matches will be played at Southampton followed by the T20 Series consisting of the same number of matches.
