RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Pakistan army on Friday announced the promotion of its six Major Generals to the rank of Lieutenant General (Promotions in Pakistan army).

In a press release, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that six Major Generals of Pakistan army have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.

The ISPR said that the promoted General Officers include Major General Shaheen Mazhar, Major General Nadeem Zaki Manj, Major General Abdul Aziz, Major General Asim Munir, Major General Adnan, and Major General Waseem Ashraf.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad today.

The Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Naveed Mukhtar was also present during the meeting.

During the meeting, security and regional stability situation were discussed by the prime minister and the COAS.

Today, the Army Chief also confirmed death sentences of 11 hardcore terrorists awarded by the Military Court for their involvement in terror-related activities.
