ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Deputy Convener Farooq Sattar said on Thursday that the Sindh Government has started politics that it did in the decade of 1990s.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, the MQM leader termed arrest of MQM workers as ‘slap on the face of democracy’.

Sattar criticized the government action in which more than 100 MQM workers were arrested in Karachi.

The MQM leader said that the arrested people included innocent and old people, even the patients.

He said that the MQM chief Altaf Hussain demanded army deployment in Karachi for better and peaceful situation.

Sattar said that his party workers would not accept slavery of Sindh’s feudal lords (waderas).

Earlier, the MQM walked out of the National assembly to mark a protest over the arrest of several party workers last night.
