  • Delaying KP polls a conspiracy to disturb party’s position in Senate: PTI Spokesperson
  • Hints a countrywide movement to rid country from clutches of mandate thieves

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson vehemently denounced the postponement of the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), which, he said, was the continuation of the same shameful mandate theft plot to disturb the PTI’s position in the Upper House.

In a strongly worded statement on Tuesday, the PTI Spokesperson said that Chief Election Commissioner was the main character in the mega daylight poll robbery intrigue and PTI utterly rejected his decision, which would be challenged in the Court.

He stated that the postponement of the Senate election in KP was the continuation of the same disgraceful scheme under which people’s mandate was ambushed under the state patronage.

The PTI Spokesperson went on to say that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) once again proved its malice and prejudice by postponing the Senate elections in KP after snatching reserved seats from PTI and gave them to other political parties in charity.

He said that the ECP’s decision of postponing KP Senate elections on account of delay of oaths of reserved seat was ridiculous because heads of the government and the state had already been elected without electing the members on reserved seats in the national and provincial assemblies.

The PTI Spokesperson pointed out that the criminal facilitation of the electoral watchdog ranging from depriving a political party of its legitimate right to an election symbol to the desecration of votes was evident before the nation.

He recalled that a conspiracy was being hatched to disturb PTI’s position in the Senate after depriving the party of its constitutional seats they won with clear margin at the national and provincial levels.

The Spokesperson made it clear that they would not accept ECP any action violative and contrary to the constitutional and democratic principles.

He called upon the nation that time was ripe to launch a nationwide political movement to ride the Country from the clutches of the mandate-thieves fake rulers.

The PTI Spokesperson declared that PTI would soon chalk out a comprehensive plan of action in this regard.
