ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Information Secretary Ahmed Jawad has dismissed the allegations of curbs on media by the federal government, and said that PTI believes in freedom of expression.
The propaganda machinery of the opposition is deliberately pitching the narrative of so-called censorship, despite the fact that these very parties are part of vicious and malignant campaign against state institutions,” the PTI Central Information Secretary said in a meeting with the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem Ul Haq in Islamabad on Saturday.
Ahmed Jawad said that their attempts to mar sanctity of state and institutions will not go unattended.
The PTI Central Information Secretary reiterated the party’s resolve to dismantle fake propaganda against the government and enlighten masses about the reforms undertaken by the government for their welfare.
Naeem Ul Haq acknowledged party’s Central Media Department’s media strategy to counter fallacious propaganda against the incumbent government.
On this occasion, the Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar, the Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri, the Information Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shaukat Yousafzai, the Chief Minister Punjab’s Adviser Aun Chaudhary were also present in the meeting.
