PoliticsPML-N spinning baseless propaganda against accountability institution: PTI

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Secretary Information Omar Sarfaraz Cheema has said that in the entire media talk, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) representatives meticulously avoided to comment on the allegations levelled against the former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

While responding to the PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif’s presser, Omar Sarfaraz Cheema said that instead of refuting the allegations on Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, PML-N top tier’s entire focus is on National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials receiving arrest warrants on WhatsApp.

“I hope that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will not follow his patrons’ footprints and instead of mudslinging against NAB, he will present documented evidences in his defence,” Cheema said.

Reiterating government’s resolve against corruption, he said that the nation has given PTI the mandate to hold those crooks accountable who ruthlessly plundered national exchequer.

The PTI leader concluded stating that we as the government will strive for the rule of law and supremacy of the constitution, come what May.

It is worth noting that the former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was arrested by NAB on Thursday in LNG Corruption Case from Thokar Niaz Beg interchange.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasiwas was summoned to attend NAB investigation in the LNG Corruption Case today but he failed to attend the investigation.
