LAHORE, Pakistan: The Punjab government has made a large-scale reshuffle in its Cabinet as Mian Aslam Iqbal has been appointed as the Provincial Information Minister in the place of Syed Sumsam Bukhari.
Earlier Mian Aslam Iqbal was holding the portfolio of the Minister for Industries, Commerce & Investment. But now besides the Information Ministry, he has now been also given the additional charge of Culture Ministry.
The Provincial Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, Local Bodies and Community Development Muhammad Basharat Raja has been assigned the portfolio of Social Welfare and Bait-Ul-Mal.
The Tourism Ministry has been taken back from Yasir Humayun, and the Punjab Sports Minister Mohammad Taimur Khan has been assigned the additional charge of Tourism Ministry.
Likewise, Mohammad Ajmal has been made a member of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team.
It is worth noting that the reshuffling in the Punjab Cabinet took place a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Lahore and met the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and also the Governor Punjab Chaudhary Sarwar.
In his meeting with the Chief Minister Punjab, the prime minister discussed overall situation in the province and matters pertaining to development and public welfare.
