Imran Niazi has no right to expel anybody from PTI: Ayesha Gulalai

PoliticsImran Niazi has no right to expel anybody from PTI: Ayesha Gulalai

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The member of National Assembly Ayesha Gulalai on Thursday said neither she had left Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) nor she would, adding Imran Khan had no right to expel anybody from the party.

“Neither I quit PTI nor shall I do so. We, the diehard workers own this party and not corrupt and immoral Imran Niazi. Party workers have severe resentment against Mr Niazi who remains surrounded by corrupt landlords,” dissident Ayesha Gulalai said while talking to media at Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after hearing a disqualification case.

Ayesha Gulalai said PTI was owned by its workers, and not by corrupt and immoral Imran Niazi who was surrounded by corrupt landlords ignoring the diehard party workers.

“The party is owned by its workers and not by the corrupt few who used to sit at stage with Imran Niazi during processions and rallies. Even the manifesto of the party was not prepared by Niazi but the party workers. Party is not his personal property,” she added.

“Imran is a liar, dishonest, immoral and corrupt person. His real face has been unveiled and his politics of hypocrisy cannot sustain for long,” she claimed.

The MNA also asked PTI in Lahore not to attend Imran Niazi’s election gathering for NA-120 polls.

Gulalai also charged Imran Khan with usurping the charity money collected in the name of hospital, the donations by overseas Pakistanis as well as promoting the politics of mud-slinging, character assassination and using abusive language.

“Therefore, any characterless person has no right to lead a party created by poor workers after sacrificing their time, money and health,” she added.

Mentioning irrelevant arguments by the PTI lawyer, Ayesha Gulalai said his arguments had nothing to do with the actual matter as she had informed the ECP about reply to the show cause notice issued to her by the party.
