ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Human Rights Council of Pakistan (HRCP) has noted that the general elections 2024 in Pakistan are going to be completely controversial.
In a statement on Friday, the HCRP said that the most worrying thing is that the Country will face international condemnation for the widespread rigging of the general elections.
“Robbery on public mandate is a national crime,” it said.
It said that the Human Rights Council of Pakistan earnestly appeals to recognize the democratic mandate of the people of Pakistan.
“Such controversial and non-transparent elections will have no significance,” it maintained.
The HRCP said that in a democratic Country, the people have the right to choose their leadership through their right to vote. When the basic mandate of the people is exploited in this way, the nation of Pakistan will never accept such elections, it said.
Earlier the HRCP also raised fears that the candidates who were winning by huge margins till last night, the results of all these seats were withheld and all the polling agents were forced out of the Offices of Returning Officers (ROs).
Under a well-thought-out plan, the election results and Form 45 of the candidates have been changed at will. The candidates who were looking far behind suddenly started winning and the winning candidates started losing, the HCRP said.
“This is the worst abuse of public mandate. This process will increase political instability in Pakistan,” it noted.
The HRCP further said that such results will not be accepted at international and national level. International media is also covering the general elections of Pakistan, it said.
“There are fears that the 2024 general elections will become controversial and lose their transparency.”
