PTI’s allegations of rigging in General Elections is an excuse while Pakistan is the real target

Islamabad, Pakistan: Pakistan is a country of 225 million people, and prioritizing the personal interest of PTI over national interest shows the dangerous ambitions and narcissistic behavior of founding Chairman Imran Khan who can destroy anything for his vested interests.

Imran Khan first tried to confuse the nation that elections wouldn’t be held but fortunately Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the state institutions conducted peaceful elections and all the political parties got their mandate. What justification remains to make these elections controversial? One of the reasons to make everything controversial is to assist foreign powers that do not want to see Pakistan as a prosperous country.

The question arises as to what agenda PTI and Imran Khan are working on by doing this. If Pakistan suffers economically, who will be responsible for the loss of 25 crore Pakistanis?

One of the targets of Imran Khan had always been IMF loaning to Pakistan. PTI wrote letters to the IMF to stop the tranche to Pakistan in 2022 so Pakistan could face the default but due to the efforts of the civil-military leadership at the state level, Pakistan reached an agreement with the IMF. However, Imran Khan did not like that Pakistan averted the default although he had in his speeches wished that Pakistan would default like Sri Lanka. Now he is again targeting the IMF program to achieve his political objectives.

The question arises as to what agenda PTI and Imran Khan are working on by doing this. If Pakistan suffers economically, who will be responsible for the loss of 25 crore Pakistanis?

Have they (PTI and Imran Khan) become so blind in lust for power that they have no idea of profit and loss, what economic problems Pakistan is currently suffering from, have they ever paid attention to this?

May 9, 2022 incidents shows Imran Khan’s true self who has descended into anti-nationalism because of his agenda to serve his foreign masters, his stubbornness, his ego, and his lust for power

It should be remembered that due to political instability, a bearish trend prevailed in the Pakistan Stock Exchange last week. After the elections and the coming into existence of the government, there are many questions related to the economic condition of Pakistan in the minds of the public that need immediate answers anyway. Time is needed to find out, most importantly when is the next IMF review program due.

This is a proven fact that foreign investment is affected by political chaos, if seen given these problems, according to economic experts, Pakistan is facing many economic challenges in the coming months and years after the elections.

According to a Central Bank (State Bank of Pakistan) report, Pakistan is facing a debt-servicing crisis, with $24 billion in external debt due by June 2024. According to economists, Pakistan’s budget deficit is 7.6%, or a record 8.2 trillion rupees. The 7.6% deficit means that Pakistan will need to borrow 1.3 trillion rupees more than what it had planned in June this year. In 2024, Pakistan’s revolving debt will be 5.7 trillion rupees. External financing of dollars is needed; a delegation is expected to arrive to discuss the final tranche of US$ 1.10 billion after the formation of the new government.

As mentioned above, political instability and political turmoil directly affect foreign capital, creating an environment of uncertainty and risk for foreign investors. Due to the unstable political environment, many companies preferred to go out of Pakistan. Along with this, many factors will not be less than a challenge for the new government, for which political stability is very important. The new government needs to take such steps. There will be an urgent need that stabilize the country’s economy. In this regard, sectors with high growth potential such as agriculture and information technology should be supported.

Budget preparation will also be a big challenge for the new government and negotiations with the IMF regarding the review program must take place on time.

For all the above-mentioned challenges, it is necessary to establish a stable political government in Pakistan, but every day a new specter is created by PTI, the target of which is directly or indirectly 250 million people of Pakistan.

Sometimes the narrative of the cipher, sometimes the theatre of not getting a level playing field, sometimes the pretense of rigging, and now the hint of obstructing the IMF program. What can be more anti-national than this?

This is not the time to create political chaos, but it is the time for all to forget the political differences and get together for the sake of the country. Even PTI leadership was given a chance by the state to leave the anti-Pakistan agenda and move forward even after the May 9, 2022 incidents. Nevertheless, it has been confirmed that PTI cannot leave its enmity against Pakistan. Nominating Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister of KPK is a glaring example that PTI’s founding Chairman has sent a loud and clear message to the State that Gandapur who was directly involved in the May 9 incident is a “hero of Imran Khan”.

Several retired and serving civil and military bureaucrats when asked to comment on the situation said that the state of Pakistan allowed PTI to contest in General Elections 2024 to give another chance to this group of anarchists to mend their minds and join the mainstream administrative system to serve the country. However, PTI has not left its design to harm Pakistan and has yet not left serving its foreign masters. On one side, it is targeting Pakistan economically (reference to IMF issue, etc) and on another side, it is continuously spreading propaganda that the Pakistan Army has no option left but to pardon the miscreants of May 9 or perhaps the attitude of the army has become flexible. This propaganda has been launched to encourage people to come out on the roads and to do another May 9-like mutiny kind of activity by telling them that “it was nothing serious and Pakistan Army cannot punish those who attack monuments of martyrs and military installations.

They are of the view that those who think that for some reason the Army has forgotten the 9th of May, live in fool’s paradise and those who are in hiding or who have received temporary judicial relief will surely meet their end and all such characters who in any way facilitated the May 9 tragedy will be brought to justice. Military circles indicate that the Pakistan Army will not forgive those involved in May 9, 2022, until all the cases of May 9 reach their logical conclusion and all the evildoers and their facilitators are not punished according to the law and constitution.

“The May 9, 2022 incident shows Imran Khan’s true self who has descended into anti-nationalism because of his agenda to serve his foreign masters, his stubbornness, his ego, and his lust for power”, one retired bureaucrat mentioned to DND News Agency while commenting over May 9 incidents.

“Anybody who believes that the Pakistan Army will not be able to honor their martyrs has a deranged mentality. Pakistan Army will not sit down peacefully till everybody whosoever was involved in attacking monuments of martyrs and military installations faced the punishment”, observed a retired military official when asked to comment on PTI propaganda that the Army had failed to punish those who were involved on May 9, 2022, horrific incidents.
