ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb said.

In a Tweet on Tuesday, Maryam Aurangzeb told that the prime minister wasn’t feeling well for the last two days and as per the doctor’s advice, he underwent the Coronavirus test which turned out to be positive.

The information minister appealed to the people and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers to pray for the speedy recovery of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Shahbaz Sharif stayed in London for a few days after attending the Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit at the Conference of Parties (COP 27) in Egypt from November 7-8, 2022.



The prime minister returned to Pakistan on November 14.
