SHARM EL SHEIKH, Egypt: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif became the center of attention at the Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit.
World leaders described the prime minister’s continued presence in the flood-affected areas as an extraordinary gesture.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with important world leaders at the Sharm El-Sheikh International Congress Center on the occasion of the COP 27 Summit.

President of Iraq Abdul Latif Rashid, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo met Shahbaz Sharif separately.
Shahbaz Sharif also met with Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Makati.
The prime minister thanked the Indonesia President Joko Widodo for prompt delivery of edible oil to Pakistan. He conveyed message of good wishes to the government and people of Indonesia.
In addition, Shahbaz Sharif discussed the devastating effects of climate change with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The foreign leaders expressed their grief over the destruction and loss of lives caused by floods in Pakistan.
While while talking to the world leaders, Shahbaz Sharif said that the whole world is affected by climate change, collective efforts are necessary.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked the international community for helping flood victims. He and the world leaders also discussed bilateral, regional and global issues.
