HealthPM Imran Khan launches Naya Pakistan Sehat Card for Islamabad Citizens

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card for Islamabad Citizens on Wednesday.

While addressing the Launching Ceremony of the Health Card Scheme, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan is the only Country in the world to introduce such a unique ambitious program for providing free health facilities to its Citizens.

The prime minister said that health issues create economic problems for the people and our vision behind the scheme is to at least relieve them of the economic suffering when they get ill.

Imran Khan said that when people own their Country, only then the Country achieves the ideal of national security but when people are deprived of their basic needs how would they think of the nation and national interest.

Under the Sehat Card Scheme, all families of Islamabad, Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Tharparkar will be provided free medical treatment at the government and private hospitals.

The Card will enable every family to avail healthcare facilities up to Rs one million in a year.

Under the Sehat Sahulat Program, the Health Card has already been launched in the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and Punjab’s Lahore, Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Sahiwal Divisions.

The Scheme will be launched for Citizens of Faisalabad Division on February 9, 2022, for Multan Division on February 22, for Bahawalpur Division on March 2, for Gujranwala Division on March 22, and for Sargodha Division on March 31.

The entire population of the Punjab province will be provided the free health facilities by March 31, 2022 in over 700 empanelled government and private hospitals across the Country.
