ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Noor Alam Khan is the richest former Parliamentarian with assets amounting to Rs 32 billion while Jamshed Dasti, who quit PPP a few days ago, has the least amount of assets with only his salary bank account.
According to details of former parliamentarians’ assets, issued by the Election Commission, former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has assets amounting to Rs 72 million. He owns two cars valued at Rs 1.8 million, while his wife has 10 tolas of gold. Ashraf has also taken Rs 8 million from his brother.
The leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has Rs 8.3 million in his bank account. Nisar has a house in Rawalpindi and a farm house. The former opposition leader is also the owner of nine apartments.
Awami National Party’s (ANP) Ghulam Ahmed Bilour possesses assets worth Rs 39.4 million, while Arbab Alamgir has a net worth of Rs 2 billion. Alamgir is also the owner of an apartment in Dubai worth Rs 40 million.
ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has assets worth Rs 10 million including 50 tolas of gold.
Similarly, Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maualna Fazlur Rehman has assets worth over Rs 5.5 million.
Ameer Muqam from the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has assets worth Rs 160 million and seventeen cars. Pervaiz Elhai has Rs 64.1 million in his bank account, wealth worth Rs 8.9 million and investments of Rs 30.49 million.
Moreover, former National Assembly Speaker Fehmida Mirza has assets of over Rs 80 million and an apartment worth Rs 15 million in Dubai
