PakistanECP constitutes committee on delimitation in Karachi, Nosheroferoz

KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) informed Sindh High Court on Wednesday that it has formed a committee charged with redrawing electoral constituencies in Karachi and Nosheroferoz town of Sindh, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

In response to a constitutional petition pertaining to delimitation of constituencies for provincial and National Assembly seats in Nosheroferoz, the ECP in its written reply submitted to the provincial court stated that it has constituted a committee headed by Justice (retd) Roshan Esani, a member of the ECP, in this regard.

The ECP added that the body will submit its report within seven days after which a notification of new electoral constituencies will be issued.
