ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Special Envoy to the President of Sudan and Minister of Investment Dr Mustafa Osman Ismail called on President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Wednesday, says a reported published on Radio Pakistan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways and means to further strengthen these ties.

The president said that Pakistan wants to boost its relations with Sudan in all areas particularly trade, economic and defence.

President Mamnoon Husain said both countries should continue exploring avenues for future cooperation and further increasing the volume of trade between the two countries.

Mamnoon Husain also offered to provide skilled manpower to Sudan in banking, medical, textile, agriculture and infrastructure sectors.

The president expressed the hope that the proposed third round of Pak-Sudan Joint Ministerial Commission would be held early next year which would further enhance bilateral economic cooperation.

Mamnoon Hussain also apprised the special envoy about Kashmir issue and urged the government of Sudan to support Pakistan on this issue.
