Pakistan records further 5,152 COVID-19 infections, 73 deaths

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 5,152 people tested positive for Coronavirus while 73 passed away across Pakistan in the last 24 hours, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

The NCOC’s data showed that 60,162 tests were conducted in the Country on April 18 to ascertain the virus, and 5,152 of them returned positive showing a positivity ratio of 8.56%.

   

With the latest infections, now the total number of Coronavirus Cases in the Country has reached 761,437 whereas the COVID fatalities figures have jumped to 16,316.

The province-wise data showed that Sindh has so far registered 272,729 Coronavirus Cases and 4,553 deaths, Punjab 270,338 Cases and 7,457 deaths, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 106,500 Cases and 2,899 deaths, and Islamabad 70,079 Cases and 642 deaths.

Likewise, Balochistan has so far recorded 20,940 Coronavirus Cases and 223 deaths, Azad Kashmir 15,669 Cases and 439 deaths, and the Gilgit-Baltistan region 5,182 Cases and 103 deaths.

Recording a recovery ratio of 87.1%, 662,845 COVID-19 patients have recuperated now across Pakistan while 82,276 are still under treatment.
